DoubleHorn Takes on Cloud Applications with Cloud Services Marketplace
When DoubleHorn was established in 2005, the company focused on the hosted VoIP market; a starting point that has not only helped the company to pave its way and gain traction in the industry but has also helped it to evolve into the respected communications provider it is today.
While the company has been a provider of hosted telecommunications services such as VoIP, SIP trunking and session border controllers for almost eight years now, the plan for 2013 is for DoubleHorn to expand its focus on hosted communications by increasing its presence in the cloud applications market.
According to Robert Erickson, VP of Platform Development, he credits the company’s seamless transition to the cloud services market to its foundation in hosted services. After seeing the demand for cloud services early on, DoubleHorn moved into the cloud space by virtualizing the services it already had in place to take the company’s product portfolio to the next level.
To build on that expansion, DoubleHorn introduced its Cloud Services Marketplace, which is an online portal that provides information to support the entire lifecycle of cloud services including the purchasing, auto-provisioning and business monitoring of cloud application.
